Minutes of Regular Meeting
Monday June 17th 2013
Raymond Library 840 Main Street, East Hartford CT 06108
Present: Gloria Visigilio-Lupi, Debra Arrieta, Rose Tavtigian, Sally Pelletier, Charles Casella Jr, Florence Schroeter, Mary Mourey
Absent: Todney Harris Anthony Foran
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:45pm
Approval of Minutes: The Minutes of the May 20th 2013 meeting were approved
Chairman Report:
- The process of hiring a Library Director, Assistant Director, and Reference Librarian is underway
- The progress of the Library Addition Project was reviewed
Old Business: None
New Business:
- Members of the commission expressed their appreciation for the contribution of the book mobile by Rotary
- Regarding the plan for library services during the period that Raymond Librbary is under reconstruction indicated the following:
- Availability of children’s materials and programming
- Relocation of some materials to schools rather then storage
- The commission would like to meet with the new library director at the earliest convenience
